AS9100 and ISO CERTIFICATION

Quality products are paramount to everything we do at Alloy Precision Technologies. APT is continually looking at ways to build products faster, better and at a lower cost. Our customers deserve and require the products we provide to work as required the first time and everytime.

In order to deliver on these promises we maintain both the AS9100 Rev. D, and ISO 9001:2015 certifications. APT focuses on “built in quality” and has a quality team focused on making sure every product leaving out facility is exactly what our customers expect.

What is AS9100 Rev. D?

AS9100 Rev D is a widely adopted and standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry. It was released in October 1999, by the Society of Automotive Engineers and the European Association of Aerospace Industries. AS9100 Rev. D fully incorporates all the ISO 9001 attributes, while adding the additional requirements for: Product safety, Counterfeit part prevention, Risk mitigation, Company awareness, product conformity and stakeholder identification. Many large manufacturers and in particular Aerospace manufacturers require this certification as a prerequisite to doing business.

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a “Global network that identifies what International Standards are required by business, government and society, develops them in partnership with the sectors that will put them to use, adopts them by transparent procedures based on national input and delivers them to be implemented worldwide.”* The 9000-family of ISO certifications primarily focuses on the management of quality systems including:

  • Fulfillment of customer’s quality requirements
  • Satisfaction of regulatory requirements
  • Enhancement of customer satisfaction
  • Continuous improvement relative to quality management
